At Avalon College we have designed our fees to cover all expenses so that students don’t have to carry money or pay for anything as they go. There is a fee per week for tuition, boarding and activities and an enrolment fee which is paid once only.

(25 hours face to face teaching)

Specialised curriculum focused on development of reading, writing, speaking, listening and grammar skills.

 

ILP

An Individual Learning Plan (ILP) is developed for each student to maximise their learning opportunities

 

Academic excursions

Relevant and interesting excursions which enhance our curriculum

 

Assistance with transition to an Australian school

Organisation of school visits, assistance with subject choices, purchasing of uniforms and school books

 

Boarding

Accommodation

Well appointed rooms, 2-4 students per room

 

Meals

3 nutritious cooked meals each day. Fruit and refreshments always available

 

Environment

Avalon College is situated outside the temptations of a large city allowing students to adjust to Australian life in a secure and safe environment. Principal, Managing Director, Head of Boarding and other staff live on-site

 

Boarding house staff

All boarding house staff are professionals experienced in caring for young students

 

Supervised homework sessions

7.00pm – 8.45pm each weeknight with assistance from staff

 

Laundry

Professional laundry service twice a week (excludes dry cleaning), including washing and ironing

 

Internet access

Students can access free wireless broadband internet (unlimited downloads) in a controlled environment

 

Financial management

We provide management of pocket money and other valuables and assist students in opening bank accounts

 

Cultural and Activities Program

After-school activities

Each weekday all students participate in a sport and activities based after-school program developed and supervised by our professional staff.

 

Weekend activities

Avalon College offers a carefully planned weekend program where students experience a wide variety of recreational, sporting and Australian cultural activities each weekend.

 

Activity teachers

All aspects of the Cultural and Activities Program are fully supervised by experienced, professional staff.

 

OPTIONAL FEES

Airport transfer

Airport transfers and assistance are provided by our own driver.

 

Guardianship

Avalon College requires parents to appoint a guardian for their child. Parents may choose to use the Avalon College Guardianship Service (subject to availability).

 

Overseas Health Cover

OSHC is compulsory for students on a Student Visa.

 

Extra Duties

At times Avalon College is asked to perform duties that are normally undertaken by guardians.

 


NB: Students on the Holiday Program pay a reduced enrolment fee which does not cover clothes labelling and all items of uniform. For these students bed linen is on a hire basis.
